Dr. Petry is a consultant and advisor for the National Institutes of Health and the Veterans Administration, she served on the DSM-5® committee for the American Psychiatric Association, and she is the Editor-in-Chief of Psychology of Addictive Behaviors. Her first book, Pathological Gambling: Etiology, Comorbidity, and Treatment, received the Choice Magazine Award for Top Academic title in 2005.
