About this item

Smile, Be Happy!

Imagine if your life was as simple as smiling & being happy. Sounds simple, right? Smiling has a lot of benefits. Studies show that a genuine smile contributes to your health. It can lift your mood, alleviate your stress, and relieve any pain you’re feeling. Did you know that it can even regulate your blood pressure? Indeed, smiling (and generally being happy) regularly affects your health by relaxing your muscles, then regulating your heart rate and blood pressure. It can boost your immunity as well. smiling is regarded as one of the simplest ways to lighten up your day. Haven’t you noticed how people who often smile a lot attract positivity?A simple smile can bring out all the positive emotions in you. Relatively, it helps you build better and stronger relationships with the people around you. Most important, it makes you feel good, regardless of your current mood, as it highlights the natural feeling of joy. When I fell in love with the doing 'of the thing', instead of the outcome, I started to experience this feeling more. This is the first thing you need to do in order to move away from perfectionism to experience more joy. 1) Fall in love with the process Joy is always in process. It’s under construction & a constant approach. The easiest way to dissect success is through gratitude. Giving thanks to the things we do have, the things that are working. The small and simple things we sometimes take for granted. When we give thanks for the small, micro things - it reciprocates. It creates more to be grateful for. It’s really simple and it works. Now I’m not saying be in denial of the failures that may happen. These are also unfortunately apart of the process. We can learn from our failures too but only if we do so in a constructive way. As a means to reveal what we are good at. What we can do great at and what we DO succeed at. Life is a verb. We always try our best but we don’t always do our best. Since we are the architects of our own lives. Let’s study habits, routines and things that feed our success, our joy. Our honest pain. Our laughter. Our earned tears. Let’s dissect that and give thanks for those things. This is number 22) Create sustainable habits/routines that feed your joy. But we all want to succeed, right? So the question we’ve got to ask ourselves is “What does success mean to us?” define success for yourself. Is it money? There’s nothing wrong with that if so, money is our means to use as an exchange within our society. Maybe it’s having a family? Maybe it’s to help others, to be famous, to be spiritually sound or maybe it’s just to leave the world a little bit better than you found it. This is number 3. 3) Define your true definition of success Continue to ask yourself that question “What is success to me?” Although your answer may change over time, and that’s okay. Do yourself this favor. Whatever your answer may be. Don’t choose anything that will jeopardize your soul. Prioritize who you are and who you want to be and don’t spend time with anything that antagonizes your character. Life is not a popularity contest. It’s an ebb and flow of experiences. Defining ourselves by what we are NOT is one of the first steps to knowing who we are. Have you ever had that group of friends that you know may not bring out the best in you? They gossip too much or maybe they’re a little shady. Or maybe won’t be there for you when you need them? Or how about that computer or cell phone screen that keeps giving us an excuse not to get outside and engage with the world and get some real human interaction. The funny thing when it comes to these social media platforms is that many people are great at the second word, social. But genuinely lack the first, social. You see those people, those things -- stop giving them your time and energy. Smile, Be Happy! is a self-help book encompassing finding internal happiness and experiencing joy.
