In the past twenty-five to thirty years women artists have been included in more gallery and museum exhibitions, and many books and articles have been written about the work of women artists. But there is still the lingering belief that male artists are better and more bankable than women artists. This is a big discussion of woman artists from the Renaissance to the 20th century. It examines how the women artist managed to do fine art while raising families and working in many other areas of the arts.
