John R. Young attended the University of Vermont. He moved to the Charleston area almost 30 years ago and quickly fell in love with the Holy City and its history. He worked as a docent and education coordinator at The Old Exchange, and later became a registered tour guide. Young is currently the operations manager of The Powder Magazine, a colonial military museum.
