Too often drill bits are too short for specific jobs. The drill extensions thread together to create different tool lengths necessary to get at a problem in a deep or narrow location. In addition to TightFit threaded shank drill bits, the drill bit extensions work with a variety of other threaded tools. They also work with a Right Angle Drill Attachment (sold separately) for getting around corners or over/under obstructions. Included in the set is a Chucking Spud, 3" Threaded Extension, 6" Threaded Extension and 9" Chucking Extension. Extensions thread together to form lengths of: 5/8, 3, 3-5/8, 6, 6-5/8, 9, 9-5/8, 12, 15 & 18 inches, and have a body diameter of 3/8", with 1/4-28 threads. The 3" & 6" threaded extensions have 5/16" wrench flats to help loosen the tool, as it will self tighten in use. Work may be direct or using a Right Angle Drill Attachment (sold separately), around corners. All items are made of 1144 medium-carbon steel (stressproof) and black oxided to prevent corrosion and enhance appearance.
