Dan'l Boone Inn Brand brings you the delicious taste of NC Blue Ridge Mountain cured country ham. Each country ham is first hand rubbed with the “cure”, a blend of primarily salt and sugar. The hams "cure" naturally though seasonal changes in temperature that occurred through the Winter, Spring and Summer, rendering the hams perfectly "cured" for the finest flavor and quality. Each 12 ounce package contains two 4 ounce center slices and approximately 4 ounces of end pieces (all boneless)

Today the dry curing of hams is one of the few traditions that technology has not significantly altered but actually enhanced. Country ham has a rich full flavored taste and has been a favorite of Southerners for generations.

Think country ham is too salty try these tips
1. Soak in water prior to cooking since the water will help remove the salt.
2. Add about 1/2 inch of water to skillet, place the ham in skillet and bring to a boil. Pour off the water and slightly brown each side of the ham.
