These fenders are intended to be welded onto the frame of a trailer. When you're welding a fender on, you don't want to have to pay for a small mistake just because you didn't weld fast enough. With the thicker steel, those mistakes aren't as costly. Our hard steel fenders are designed to take a beating and look good while doing it. These single axle covers are made of durable 14-gauge steel with diamond plate profile. Diamond plate is the calling card of people who put in a solid day's work. It is visually pleasing to the eye but also serves a purpose in its design. The diamond pattern creates a walking surface that is resistant to slipping, especially with work boots that have heavy tread. When you're loading your trailer, and you need a step (only after you’ve securely welded your fenders to your trailer) these fenders do the job.
