What is meant by Dual Sided?

The water passes first through the white side which collects the larger material and debris. After passing through the first layer it then passes through the second layer of filtration , which is the blue side , to catch the smaller particulate that was not retrieved by the white side. All of this without restricting water flow and helping to maintain a clear , enjoyable aquatic feature (Pond , Fish Tank , Aquarium).
