Fear is like a push to start button. When fear pushes us we start running. Running from fear isn't something we're born doing it’s something we've learned to do as a default reaction to fear. Whenever were afraid or in trouble we take off running. Revelations 12:12 tells of Satan wanting to destroy all of humanity and it issues a warning to those of us on earth who are forced to run from him for our very lives. Scattered abroad by fear some of us run for the familiar cover of our flesh straight into a world of alcoholism, violence, drugs, pornography, hate, lying cheating, stealing and all sorts of sinful addictions. As strangers deposited in a foreign land, getting back home to God requires running in the right direction to God instead of towards Satan. Gaining access to home requires the proper identity of who we are and whose we are. The blood of Jesus identifies kingdom citizens returning home. Turning from sin and getting of the world's tracks of destruction is the only way of getting on the right track home. It requires our knowing that regardless of our dog like behaviors we were created to be pure white kittens washed as clean as snow. It’s the love of the Lion of Judah that calls all of us little kittens home from being out in the world. But we must first get on board the boat with Jesus. Getting on board with Jesus means accepting a ride from Him and the other twelve disciples His other kittens already waiting in the boat. And when we reach the boat with our flea infested flesh covered in the filth of sin, he gives each of us a flea collar that kills and leaves the fleas outside of the boat. Consecrated and separated from our sin the Lion of Judah the big cat reaches down from inside the boat and picks us up out of the world placing us gently in the boat with the other twelve snow white kittens sporting diamond encrusted flea collars. We find that we are a new creature in him and in our resurrected life we never have to live our lives out as a dog ever again. If the itch of fleas has ever sent you running and itching for relief in the wrong direction out into the world then you know the dangerous effects of a flea infestation very well. You know the dangerous effects of running towards your beastly nature and the desires of your flesh. You know what it’s like when no one seems to care about an itchy cat suffering from an identity crisis as a dog. The big cat's flea collar is much lighter than our old slave collars that we once sported out in the world as children of darkness and disobedience. Because His yoke is light there is still hope for us all if we are willing to leave sin in the street where it belongs and put on the Holy Spirit's flea collar in order to get home. This book is a roadmap home that chronicles one man's journey from flea bitten dog to sporting the flea collar of a snow white kitten as an ordained minister. Running from gangs, domestic violence, alcoholism, drugs, physical and sexual abuse, this writer allowed the pain to improperly identify him as a child of Satan. Through the test his testimony is one of forgiveness and repentance.
