A musical Journey! Written song lyrics combined with storytelling. Whitley Dean has gained success as a song writer in Los Angeles, California. However, she is currently dealing with writer's block following her divorce from "Mr. Perfect". Shutting down emotionally has hindered her innate ability to connect with music. A trip to see her mother leads to some unexpected truths about her parent's failed relationship. An unsigned recording contract with her mother's name on it leaves Whitley confused about the past. Hearing only her mother's side of the story doesn't feel right, so she decides to visit her father to get his side as well. This unplanned journey not only helps Whitley understand more about where she came from; it also unlocks her writer's block, allowing her to reconnect with her emotions. She is forced to deal with her own failed marriage along with her fear of being vulnerable. With her mother's guitar and her father's encouragement, Whitley creates meaningful songs that she can once again be proud of. Music is always the solution.
