High school graduation, the pinnacle of every teenager's grade school career. A time for adolescents to venture into the freedoms of adulthood. Nine days before mine, my conservative parents found out that I was an avid weed smoker. Lucky me. Instead of going off to college to start a new endeavor, I decided to attend my local HBCU. My freshman year wasn't filled with your typical college rituals, like partying until the sun comes or drinking coke with a goodie power to rid a hangover before class. Being entangled by work, school, and family, while trying to revive my non-existent social life, bogged me down. Let's just say the high doesn't hit the same if you aren't high off of life.
