The Tumaini Way: A Culturally Responsive Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum for Middle and High School Students: Instructors Guide

The "Tumaini Way" is a culturally responsive, evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning curriculum that is designed to provide middle and high school students with tools to positively impact their communities through social justice and advocacy. Comprised of 25 lessons, The Tumaini Way is the first of its kind in that it is designed on the basis of the mindfulness, brain-based learning, cognitive behavioral therapy theoretical models, and social justice, while building upon the five core Collaborative for Social Emotional Learning (CASEL) competencies. It combines training, assessment, progress monitoring, and parent engagement to ensure student success.
