Hanjie Puzzle Book for Adults Welcome to our brand-new book of hanjie puzzles , containing 50 freshly-made hanjie puzzles. All the puzzles in this book range in size from 20x20 through to 30x30. Every puzzle has a cryptic clue that hints at the solution to the puzzle, without immediately giving it away. The book is printed on clear white paper in crisp black ink. Hanjie is also known as various other names such as griddler, picross and nonogram puzzles. The rules are straightforward, but solving the puzzles may not always be so! The numbers around the edge of the grid indicate how many squares to shade in each row/column. There must be at least one blank square between groups of numbers, thus a clue of 3,2 at the start of the row means that somewhere in the row there are three consecutive shaded squares, followed by at least one blank, followed by another two shaded squares - after which any remaining squares in the row must also be blank. In terms of difficulty, then these puzzles will be ideal for solvers with a moderate amount of hanjie-solving experience, and also accessible for those who are relatively new to hanjie. Expert solvers we hope will still enjoy them, although none of the puzzles are particularly difficult for experienced solvers so experts should find them a relaxing solve rather than a particularly challenging one. We recommend solving with a pencil so that if you make mistakes you can easily rub them out and start afresh. As usual, we've included all the solutions at the back, so if you need a little helping hand you can do so, and likewise if you'd simply like to check your answer is correct.
