Some say that Henry Q. Jones is awkward. But others claim he is very, very awkward. He is a cowboy with a Ph.D. who adopts a mustang from the U.S. BLM yet rides to the University on a broken down moped. Henry bemoans why it is that when he makes something up, everyone believes him. (His family and close associates tell him this is because he almost always tells the truth.) Then why is it that when he tells the truth, no one believes him?While waiting for a veterinarian to open, Henry performs CPR on his hairless cat during the entire Labor Day weekend. A couple on a beach in California confuses him for Big Foot. A group of village elders from Africa present Henry with a goat that dons a diaper so that it can stay inside his house in order to avoid the wrath of the home owner's association president. His neighbors won’t talk to him after he feeds them emu steaks without their knowledge. Henry takes a vacation to the Western Utah desert where he makes friends and eats dinner with a family that lives in a hole underground. After dinner a cadre of cats function as the family’s automatic dishwasher. But, hey, water is scarce in the desert and the hole where the family lived lacked electricity. And, what is the probability that someone with your same name right down to your middle initial and who lives in your very town gets into a DUI related accident and the computer pins it on you? It’s one thing to prove who you are. Try proving to a judge who you are not. Almost everything in this book is based on actual events that actually occurred. Some accounts are adapted more or less as writing the book required.
