His parents Robert and Martha Henger had three children. He studied metallurgy at Penn State University. After graduating from Penn State he obtained a Master's Degree from Notre Dame and a MBA from the University of Chicago. Gary is now enjoying his retirement in the great state of Wisconsin with his wife of 56 years, JoAnn Henger. They have three children, eight grandchildren, and often enjoy traveling, art, and spending time with family and friends.
