The book was written during the period of COVID-19 when many special needs powerlifters were unable to train or compete in the sport they love. Many athletes used programs like those mentioned in the book as ad hoc ways to stay fit and strong until they could return to training at gyms and fitness centers. The book also offers help for making the transition from the darkness of COVID to the light of a return to training and competition. This how-to guidance as Part II of the book can stand on its own as a path to success for special needs powerlifters and their coaches.
