Golden Summer is a mixture of a wide variety of melons, from ultra-early to mid-season, suitable for storage (3 to 4 months). The fruits have different shapes, from round to long, with a ribbed or smooth surface and various variations of the net pattern. Their pulp is juicy, tender, or conversely, dense, and crunchy. This mix consists of varieties capable of accumulating the maximum amount of sugars, being cold-resistant and unpretentious. It will produce fruits steadily throughout the summer due to its wide and versatile variety.

Planting instructions:  
Planting the melons should be done with three to five seeds per hill about  2 inches apart and 1 inch deep. Water the seeds in well after planting melons. Once the growing melon plants come through the soil, wait until two of them are taller than the others and remove the rest. You could plant the seeds in the ground and use black plastic mulch, allowing the seeds to grow up through the plastic. The plastic will keep the ground warm around the growing melons as well as help keep weeds to a minimum. In colder climates, you can also start by planting melons indoors. Once the weather is right, you can transplant your seedlings outdoors. The plants are quite sensitive to cooler temperatures. Therefore, before planting melons outdoors, make sure you harden your seedlings so they will survive.
