For DIY thermoforming: Holstex Basketweave Sheet is very similar to both Kydex and Boltaron in the way it forms when heated and molded around an object. Once cooled, this material will keep the shape of the item that was used to mold the shape into place. In its cooled state, it is very durable and light weight. It is used widely in thermoform holster making, cosplay costume creation, removable surface coverings, keel guard protectors, and much more. Holstex Basketweave sheet is highly durable, scratch resistant, and will not fade. Both the heights and depths of the 3D Basketweave texture are high contrast and very detailed. This is the same basketweave design seen on Police belts and holsters, and works very well with custom tooled basketweave items. Easy to form: To use Holstex Basketweave Thermoform sheet, score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered. Heat the material to a 300-320 degree Fahrenheit range and place over object. Using forming foam, press the material around the object and allow to cool in position.
