ONE PLAYER MYSTERY GAME: Arkham Noir is a solitaire card game inspired by the interconnected stories of H.P. Lovecraft and other authors, re-imagined as noir detective stories. Each case stands alone. CHALLENGING DETECTIVE GAME: Gameplay consists of adding cards to open cases, creating lines of investigation, in an effort to solve them. The ultimate goal is to score five “puzzle” Clue cards in order to piece together the Big Picture, before running out of time or mental stability. INFINITE GULFS OF DARKNESS: In this third installment, Howard Lovecraft investigates events based on the stories “From Beyond” (1920), “Nyarlathotep” (1920), “The Haunter of the Dark” (1935), and Robert Bloch’s “The Shadow from the Steeple” (1950). HIGH VARIABILITY: Each newly shuffled deck is the start of a unique challenge, with adjustable difficulty levels to accomodate all level players. In addition to the Classic Mode, a new Hardboiled Mode consists of completing all the Objective Cards before running out of time or sanity. NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This thrilling mystery card game is made for one player and is suitable for ages 14 and older. The average playtime is 30 minutes.
