Intermediate Kit - Building upon our Standard Kit, the Intermediate Kit incorporates (2) HyFin Vent Compact Chest Seals. Vented chest seals are used to treat patients with penetrating chest trauma, particularly those with entry & exit wounds (gunshot wounds being a common example). The unique design allows air to escape the chest cavity during exhalation, but not make it's way back in during inhalation. Each seal is coated in an adhesive gel, allowing it to be successfully applied in the presence of blood, sweat, or other bodily fluids.
