Each birdhouse comes on a 4 pronged stake. Some assembly is required, but is very simple, just twist the top half into the bottom half of the stake using your hands, no tools needed. To install, just find a place in your yard to poke the stake into the ground and apply even pressure to each prong. If you encounter a rock, simply stop pushing, remove the stake, and move over to try again in a new spot.
