The Perfect Prayer: According to Jesus

Jesus taught His followers many totally new concepts. One of the most revolutionary and life-changing concepts He taught them was about prayer. Having a personal -encounter relationship with God was a new concept for them. Prayer was only for certain people, not for the masses, or so the people thought. They had a sense of “authorized personnel only” relationship with God. Jesus told His disciples to pray to their heavenly Father as if they were talking to their earthly father, He wanted His disciples to have the same intimate relationship as He has with the Father. He wants that same thing for us today. The more time we spend with Him, the more intimate our relationship becomes. We know Him better. He reveals things to us as we spend time with Him. If we have an intimate abiding relationship with Him, if we get to really know Him, we will know His nature and His character. We will know His will for us personally. That way whatever we ask of Him will be what He wants to give us anyway.
