Das and Agrawal illustrate their message clearly with the storyline of Sandra and Reema recounting their summer holidays with their family. The contrast between Sandra's happy and everyday encounters with her family and Reema's uncomfortable and awkward encounters with her uncle is clear for us to understand. I especially liked how the illustrations showed what good touching with the green sign is and what is bad touching with the red sign, using colors as a teaching aid for young children to associate colors with behaviors. Good Touch Bad Touch may be a children's book, but it can apply to all ages because its message is so important. It is vital for all children to know and understand their boundaries with touch. Kunal Das and Vedika Agrawal did a wonderful job of approaching personal boundaries with touching, especially between family members. The diversity of the characters is refreshing to see as it can open dialogue between the adult and child about different nationalities and cultures.
