It has the mid-height cuff support that crack climbers appreciate, and while the profile is somewhat downturned for a smidge of performance, it’s minimally asymmetric and flat enough for day-long multi-pitch climbing. SCARPA used Vibram’s hardest rubber to enhance the sole’s traction on bare slabs and greasy crimps. The Generator’s upper is all Eco Suede with plenty of rubber around the toe and heel to generate a solid fit and performance for places like Indian Creek, El Potrero Chico, and Yosemite.
