About this item

Martha's Bakery: The Strange Life Of A Small City

"Welcome to Bradysburg," the billboard read. Located by the intersection of two interstate roads, the city was perfectly situated for trade, traffic, and business. From the beginning, the small city grew; that is, until the Great Recession and the Pandemic struck. Everything stopped and the city declined. Then a stranger came into town and renovated an abandoned building downtown. Martha's Bakery was born, serving the best, most delicious pastries of all kinds. People came from everywhere to enjoy the food. At the same time, the economy rebounded and people were happy again. Yet, the people changed, too, emboldened to try and do something different without consequences. Strange things started happening. Traffic increased, accidents occurred, crime was u, and personal attitudes changed. The friendly city began a place of intrigue, deceit, and death. The city leaders were worried, and Police Chief Dan struggled to solve the situation before things got worse.
