El Recreo, A Farm Direct, Single Origin medium roast coffee from BIGGBY COFFEE. El Recreo. El Recreo is a Medium Roast that comes from a farm size of 31 acres with an elevation of 3,600+ feet. The harvest season is November-March. The type of bean is Arabica. Located in Jinotega, Nicaragua, the El Recreo Estate Farm is a family-owned and operated 364 plantation that has produced premium coffee for over 50 years. The farm has been owned by the Ferrey=Machado family since 1972 and employees over 40 full-time and 200 part-time workers. Store coffee tightly sealed away from moisture, direct sun-light and heat. To brew we suggest using two tablespoons of ground coffee for every six ounces of fresh, filtered water. Adjust to taste with additional hot water after brewing. The estate provides numerous facilities to ensure its employees maintain a high standard of living including a school for children, a health center for all employees and their families and a school of technical training for adults.
