If your machine is not draining, or not moving on to the agitating cycle, or spin cycle, you could have a broken lid switch. As a safety feature, when the lid switch is broken the machine won't advance past the FILL stage,and also needed a connector because it was burnt up and fused to the switch.

Just cut wires to connector and splice wires from new connector to wires from old connector.

Symptom: washer fills with water but the wash cycle never starts or stops in the middle. Possible problem: melted lid switch connector.
