Deadrise House Preceded by a disturbing nightmare, stage actor and former Tangier Island, Virginia resident Holdon Haynes begins a few weeks of down time in Annapolis, Maryland. Soon into his trip, he’s informed fellow actor D.H. Walt has disappeared from a movie set in Carmel, California, an incident setting off a domino effect of strange happenings. As Holdon and old friend, Annapolis theatre manager Jeannette Milard reconnect while navigating through a maze involving police departments from four states, they discover missing photographs and carefully placed skeleton keys adding to the mystery. The search for D.H. leads through a long undiscovered, intricately meshed tale of dark obsession weaving its way down the Chesapeake Bay back to Tangier Island and a property long condemned.
