Pathways to Discipleship: Loving Jesus

More than a Bible study, Pathways is a framework for living! Unpack Jesus’ life-changing habits that lead to greater peace and purpose. God is love. Learn how we receive and share God’s love as Jesus taught and modeled. Learn practical ways to live the two Great Commandments. Pathways to Discipleship: Loving Jesus is organized into six sessions, with each session exploring a habit of discipleship that Jesus teaches us. Session topics include God is love, Loving God, Loving neighbor, Becoming love, Divine Mercy, and Carrying our Cross. Sessions are centered on the Gospel message of Jesus, along with Catholic Church teachings. The lives of saints and the witness of ordinary Catholics, along with practical examples, illustrate how each of us can live these habits as followers of Jesus. Each session also includes small group discussions reflecting on the habit and how to best incorporate it into our daily lives. Through Pathways to Discipleship, participants grow in awareness of the habits of Christian discipleship as Jesus lived them, form bonds of fellowship, and encourage community. At the end of each session is a section called Practice Together, which is an opportunity to practice the habit covered in the session. This may be done as a group. Sessions conclude with a Discipleship Next Step to help form one of the habits of a disciple. Pathways to Discipleship: Loving Jesus is part of the three-part Pathways to Discipleship series.
