Carter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder when he was just 3 years old- some would say that's early. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. People with ASD often have challenges with social communication and interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests. People with ASD may also have different ways of learning, moving, or paying attention. There are some specific things that Carter likes that bring him comfort.
