About this item

The Slave Psychology: Part 1

This work analyzes the systematic creation of the crab-in-a-bucket ideology in America as well as the creation of 'ghettoes.' It looks at why the crab-in-a-bucket ideology exists, why it was created, why it is important, and why it is built to last. Furthermore, this necessary work uses ABA psychological terms--but from an Africentric lens that redefines these terms--along with English law and politics to help analyze the behavior of the 'African American' slave (including post-slavery behavioral patterns) under the system of ultranationalism, the creation of the Americanized slave mentality, as well as looking at various methods of social conditioning and social control through the implementation of Slave Codes, Black Codes/Jim Crow law, colorblind ideology, and diversity and inclusivity principles.
