Pre-Brahminic Nepal: The lasting legacies of intellectual arrogance of British Empire upon Nepal.

“Pre-brahminic Nepal” is likely to attract very healthy and controversial comments from several quarters. The Age of the Empire was good for many and not so good for many more. At the centre of the controversy rests intellectual arrogance of the elite as they have written arbitrarily and omitted to write arbitrarily. They knew the earliest message of Buddha was written in Pali script and they also knew where those manuscripts are to be found. They also knew Buddha’s same messages began to appear in Sanskrit a few centuries later and that Sanskrit was then the language of the Buddhist clergy and not of Hindu gods and Brahmins. Additionally, in the Sanskrit Mahayana Sutras of Nepal, Hindu gods and goddesses are found relegated to secondary positions which alone would settle this discourse that after all the Brahmins could not have written Sanskrit Manuscripts of Nepal.
