This is one item of new, single gang, logarithmic taper track potentiometer which has a standard 6mm D-shaped flatted shaft manufactured by Bourns. The turning shaft length is 14mm and the threaded section of the shaft is 6mm. A nut and a washer are included for mounting on a front panel. The mounting hole required is 7mm diameter. The connection pins will allow either PCB mounting or soldered wire connections. The "A" prefix before the track resistance value denotes an audio volume control track taper. The maximum power rating is 0.1W. The track tolerance is +/-20%. The pin spacing is 5mm. The shaft diameter is the standard 6.0mm metric size. The width across the flat is a little over 5mm, standard size. The 'diameter' across the curve to the flat is 4.5mm. The flat points downwards towards the centre pin when the pot is at the mid-point, i.e. the flat points away from the actual track wiper. The rotation angle is 300 degrees. Some of the different track resistance variations are carbon based and some of them are conductive plastic. Those showing the stylised "B" on the back are carbon track types. Those showing the P160 engraving are conductive plastic based. The photographs on each resistance variation are correct in each case. If you have a pot with a track label of A503, this is an A50K where 3 is the number of zeros after 50 in Ohms. A 502 would be 5K, a 472 would be 4K7 etc. Sometimes pots may also be labelled with the A as a suffix e.g. 50KA.
