Khmer Gat Chen - Southern Chinese Diaspora in Cambodia is an examination and resource guide to better understand the depths of Chinese Cambodian ancestry, culture and history. Written with an aim to help educate and inspire Chinese Cambodians who are living outside of the homeland to seek their roots, this book is a study of the five groups of Southern Chinese who settled in Cambodia. Informational topics include brief language/terminology, a study of Chinese Cambodian celebrations that take place in Cambodia as well as the blended spiritual practices with roots from Chinese and Khmer and culture. Written by Ryan Samn, this book is the first of its kind coming from an Asian American perspective and much of this research is shared in the English language for the first time ever.
