The Sword and the Tree

A young hero must re-create god to save the world. Only, doing so will cost him his life. The Primal of Darkness has started walking the world as a man tipping the balance of creation, threatening the nature of existence. Most of the other Elementals do nothing, going through their usual cycles. Light, Darkness's natural anthesis, who should balance his actions, refuses to get involved. Until, a young man, Eleysu Gram, pulls a sword out of an old, dead ash tree. Aided and opposed by elemental forces, while being pursued by agents of darkness, Eleysu travels the world to break the curse on the sword and uncover his own identity and a mythic past. He learns that he must recreate god to restore the balance of the world and avert disaster. But he also discovers that this will require the ultimate sacrifice.
