4 prong drive center is the most common method of driving a workpiece between centers on the lathe.Sharp spurs give a strong bite into wood work piece. The 1" diameter of the center provides a strong grip so you can turn your piece without slipping. 1/4" spring-loaded center pin retracts under pressure to prevent splitting. The Drive Center is compatible with headstocks with 2MT spindles. Spring-loaded center point simplifies positioning of your spindle, retracts when tailstock pressure is applied, helps avoid splitting your work piece.
