Pursuit Women's Discipleship Program: The Mission of a Disciple

Pursuit is a program designed to develop discipleship in the lives of women and offer the foundations to get us started. It is designed to rebuild what has been lost, to rediscover truth, and reclaim all that God is, calls us to and offers to us in Him. In this program you will be offered a daily Bible reading plan, exposure to foundational doctrines of a Christian faith, discussion questions for discipleship group formation and personal application to bring it all to life. Pursuit is created to draw out curiosity that is then directed toward Scripture, moving us from simply being consumers of our faith and into being pursuers of our faith. Pursuit ultimately postures us to step back into to the simple, yet profound art of discipleship. Pursuit is a model for forming a discipleship lifestyle that can be executed at any Church, in any home, or within any family. It's a place to start for those who are ready to not only raise the bar on how they pursue God and others but also a place to awaken their curiosity and strengthen their faith in a time such as this. In Book 2: The Mission of a Disciple, we continue our Pursuit of being disciples who make disciples. Now that we have postured our hearts to follow Jesus in book 1, we now seek to call our minds to action. In this book we examine what the true mission of a disciple of Jesus Christ is by using a model of asking questions that position us to think critically about our mission. For we will not be after a simple answer alone, but one that awakens us to the full invitation of a disciple of Jesus Christ. To accomplish this, we will ask 6 key questions: Who is our mission geared toward? - What is our mission as a disciple? - Where does our mission take us? - How do we accomplish our mission? - Why should we live out our mission? - When do we move into our mission? The mission of a disciple is rich and profound. It is one that stirs action and re-orients the way we think about life and ultimately live it. For the mission assigned to a disciple of Jesus Christ unlocks the purpose of our lives. So join the Pursuit movement and step back into the simple and yet profound call of being disciples who make disciples today!
