These button jaws are designed for re-mounting bowls, to remove marks created by the chuck or to add decoration. Commonly used in compression mode, gripping with the long or short screw-in synthetic polymer buttons. Used to re-shape the bottoms of bowls that have already been turned. Screw-in, synthetic polymer buttons will not mark the bowl. Precision CNC machined from a special grade of medium-tensile steel, perfectly balanced for excellent concentricity and a super fine, chatter-free finish to the workpiece.
