AR 165-1 Religious Activities: Army Chaplain Corps Activities - Mar. 2024

This regulation establishes the policies, duties, and responsibilities of the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps (CHC) in meeting the Army’s religious, moral, and spiritual requirements in support of Title 10, United States Code (10 USC), Department of Defense Directives (DoDDs), and Department of Defense Instruc-tions (DoDIs), and Chief of Chaplains (CCH) requirements. The Army CHC consists of all Department of the Army (DA) military and Civilian religious support professionals. This regulation applies to the Regular Army, the Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve, unless otherwise stated. It also applies to Department of the Army Civilians. The proponent for this regulation is the Chief of Chaplains.
