The lives of athletes and their families have never been more complicated. Built by athletes for athletes, this guide is designed for the athlete who wants to reach their maximum potential in sports and in the life that follows. We’re all responsible for determining who we want to be and putting in the work needed to get there. This book doesn’t attempt to provide a shortcut but does shed light on mistakes to avoid and choices you can make that will help set yourself apart. The goal is to equip and empower athletes with the skills and perspective needed to help in the pursuit of being an elite athlete and an athlete of character. You can and should pursue both. Included in this guide are lessons, decision-making models, and tools that provide specific steps and perspectives you can use to take more control as an athlete regardless of the environment you’re in. This is a resource designed specifically for athletes but could benefit and provide insight to anyone involved with sports, including parents.
