Kids Learning Chess with Pawnamere and Friends

Can you imagine a kid wanting to learn chess as he or she sees their adult parent, or relative playing. Even imagine a kid looking at the pieces on the board on the cover of a box or display window wondering or intrigued by the shapes of the different pieces. The question may come across his/her mind how you play the game. What are the rules? I remember my early years in looking at the game. I had looked at the instruction sheet that came with the set that my great, great Aunt had bought me. It had the basic movement of the pieces. However, I did not have interest in reading all of it because it was not attractive to me. So, considering that, I have adventured in formulating (designing) this book so as to hopefully entice or encourage a kid to take the book and allow the characters of the pieces guide the young reader in the quest of learning the game in a different presentation. I cover basically the same material in my other book Laying the Chess Foundation in this Chess Book for Kids . Chess has a lot to offer the young mind and I have seen the benefits of it in the lives of youths.
