“AS I REMEMBER” AS SEEN IN THE WESTMINSTER NEWS: 1st Edition

Local folks enjoyed Randolph Lee’s column, “As I Remember” in The Westminster News. People would tell him that he should put those stories in a book. He would mention that to his family and friends. In his late 80’s, work begun on it and in 2019 it was published and he received a Proof Copy . He proudly shared it at gatherings. People urged him to write about making moonshine. About two months before he passed away, he wrote the Moonshine Chapter to put in the book . His youngest brother Marvin Lee wrote Section Two. Also, two stories were written by friend!s of Dad’s. This book is rich in humor and portrays the challenging times of growing up during the depression in a large family. As Randolph says, in one story, “ ‘The Waltions’ didn’t have anything on us!”
