In 2010, NY Times Reporter Nick Bilton asked iconic Apple CEO Steve Jobs how his children liked the new iPad. Jobs responded, “They haven’t used it. We limit how much technology our kids use at home.” It seems that the leaders of the technology industry know something that we don't. While many of us are aware of the extreme content available on our devices, most of us are not aware of the more serious issue of exactly how they negatively affect our mental and emotional health. This pamphlet summarizes some of the recent literature on the topic to educate the consumer so they can determine if the benefits outweigh the risks of device ownership.
