Mr. Bark Lee & Friends exists to gently guide children toward understanding Bible verses through imaginative storytelling, lovable forest characters, and the wisdom of a kind old tree. Our mission is to nurture young hearts with messages of faith, kindness, courage, and character—presented in simple, relatable ways that help children see how God’s truths connect to their everyday world. Ashley the Alligator is feeling sad because other animals say mean things about her. Her friend, Jake the Snake, invites her to meet Mr. Bark Lee and the rest of his friends from the forest. But sadly, they too say things about her scary looking teeth and her mean look. Mr. Bark Lee reminds the friends what it says in Luke 6:31 and Jake the Snake recognizes it as the Golden Rule. The forest friends apologize for their words and welcome Ashley into their group. An author, illustrator, photographer, and proud mom of 2 boys, Mimi to one sweet grandbaby, and wrangler of one sweet rescue pup. Kimberly Caldwell  brings creativity and heart to every story she tells. Her Christian children's series, Mr. Bark Lee and Friends, grew out of her own childhood curiosity & those early questions of how Bible verses could possibly apply to a young child's world. Through the wisdom of Mr. Bark Lee, a gentle old tree, and his circle of forest friends, she helps little readers understand God's love in simple, meaningful ways. Her book Elves on Vacation was inspired by the magical stories her mother shared with her kids; tales that had them searching grocery store aisles for hidden elves with wide-eyed wonder. She hopes these stories spark the same sense of imagination and adventure in other children. In Darya the Beautiful Dragon, she explores the tender emotions a child may face while adjusting to a new family dynamic, offering reassurance, empathy, and a gentle reminder that love makes room for everyone. A lifelong believer in the power of reading together, she treasures the memories of storytime with her own children; those moments when a parent's voice brings characters to life and turns pages into adventures.
