Brown began experimenting with poetry after high school to observe, question and make sense of the world around him. Along with postings in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and stateside, he spent six years teaching composition and literature to cadets at West Point. He lives with his wife and two children in a quiet mountain valley in Southcentral Alaska. When the Uniform No Longer Fits is his first published collection.
