She grew up on a rescue farm and nature preserve giving her a deep appreciation for animals and nature. So when she chose to become a professional artist, creatures of all kinds both real and fantasy became her focus. Although she's been switching back and forth from full-time portrait painter, mixed-media sculptor, and illustrator since 2007, it's writing and illustrating stories that have captivated her the most.
