The Village of Shauck is the cradle of Ohio’s high school bowling scene and the annual State Tournament. Coach Earl Tucker, a retired math teacher, is credited with introducing bowling and building a dynasty that peaked with wins in the 1999 and 2000 tournaments. Shauck Lanes is a statewide destination for bowlers, offering access to comfort-class dining across the street at The Olde Hickory Buffet. Tucker, a widower, is getting older. The night before the tournament, he sees his mortality and pledges his estate to his beloved 1999 and 2000 bowling team members, who return yearly to celebrate their friendship and take in the tournament. He shares that only the team members present at Table 10 the year after his passing will share in the estate. Richard DeLuca, a software engineer, and his Texas-born wife, Carmen, need the money to expand his business. The twins, Matt and Pat Miller, are frustrated with their lives and jobs at the Save a Lot grocery. Budd Reynolds, a Toledo resident and insurance underwriter, wants to quit his job and return to open a guitar store, but can’t afford the jump. Finally, Donnie Ferguson, who manages The Olde Hickory Buffet with the skilled help of his wife, Anne, was a shunned member of the team and has money problems of his own. Earl Tucker unknowingly created a Hunger Games environment. What's next riddles the bumbling local police force and stretches Sergeant Paul Rafferty's investigative skills.
