About The Book: All personalities have distinguishing characteristics; some are unforgettable, but most are common and often somewhat boring. The five characters in this novel might be considered, by some, as unforgettable. The lives of the five characters portrayed in this novel are complex and intertwined. Each life touches the others' in profound ways. Most stories have at least one protagonist and one antagonist; this is not so among these five. It is as if these five were all born at once, as in quintuplets. The Bible says, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1. This verse covers all five lives, but in the case of Vanesss, the purpose of God would be at odds with most kind, considerate, compassionate, and charitable human beings. "All Is Well That Ends Well, Shakespeare said, but sometimes the journey becomes unbearable, and all does not end well. Tragedies do not need to be Shakespearean in nature; tragedies in this life are common. Job said to his emotionally torn wife, "Shall we indeed accept good from God and shall we not accept adversity?" Job 2:10. What Job might have said was what William Cowper said, "God Moves in a Mysterious Way His Wonders to Perform." Coincidentally, William Cowper was committed to St. Albans Insane Asylum in 1763. His middle name could have been "Depression." His life lives on in his God inspired poetry and hymns. The "Good News" of God's unconditional gift of salvation, His ongoing process of sanctification, and our ultimate glorification are frequently one's only hope of all things ending well. Read this book from the standpoint of five distinct personalities who are living on the potter's wheel, and you may see that: "Rashly, and praised be rashness for it, let us know, our indiscretion sometimes serves us well when our deep plots do pall: and that should teach us, There's a Divinity that shapes our ends, Rough-hew them how we will." Hamlet Act V Scene II. About The Author: Richard Ilnicki is married with two daughters. His wife, Mary, is an artist. He is a former bodybuilder and health club manager. He is originally from Pittsburgh, and he loves the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. He has written six books of poetry, two novels, and two books of short stories. He graduated from Youngstown State University, and he did his graduate work at Wayne State University. He is a born-again Christian, and this, his final novel, reflects his love for the Lord Jesus Christ. He is also a strong supporter of Israel, and one of his books of poetry, "The Hatchet Man," is in the library of Yad Vashem, located in Israel. His most famous quote is: "The only gift better than a book is time enough to read it."
