Megyn Walsh came to Wyoming to help her best friend, Jordyn Keane, fend off the townspeople of Mount Joy who were trying to frame her for murder. But after the threat was over she stayed. Megyn writes romance for a living, and she got caught up in the one between Hunter and Jordyn, and then Ryder and Andie. Both gave her inspiration for a book--names and location changed, of course. The first book is selling like hotcakes, the second is ready to hit the shelves, and Megyn's editor and agent are pushing hard for the last book in the trilogy. Archer, the third Griffin brother, should be the inspiration for that final story, but Archer hates that kind of public attention, and he makes that clear to Megyn. Megyn realizes she can't write a book even loosely based on her and Archer. They've entered into a loose friends-with-benefits relationship, but Archer has made it clear he's leaving town as soon as he can to see if he can be a successful painter. When T. R. Jones, famous artist and mother of the Griffin men returns to town, all three brothers need to come to terms with her desertion of them when they were just children. It's especially hard on Archer, who finally understands that his talent comes from a woman he has always resented. Hunter and Ryder each had to overcome their fear of being deserted again or lose the woman they loved. Can Archer do the same, and can he and Megyn admit they love one another and find a way to be together?
