Aspects of Salvation: Where in Heaven's Name are You Going? How on Earth do You Know?

For some years, up to early 2015, I struggled with the idea of assurance of salvation. I was active in an evangelical church with a large congregation. I was very often in front of it on Sunday mornings, as well as other times of the week, doing such things as leading worship, singing solos, reading Scripture, etc. I served in other ministries, such as Steven Ministry, the Divorce Care ministry, New Membership ministry, etc. Before 2015 I had got ordained, and I even officiated some weddings. I was also pretty well versed in apologetics, as well as having other Christian "attributes" and accomplishments. Nonetheless, if I were being honest, and someone would have asked me if I knew for sure that I would go to Heaven if I died, I couldn't have consistently answered an honest "yes." I would have had to say that it would have depended on which day I died and how well I may or may not have behaved that day. It was terrifying. During that time, I wish someone would have handed me something like this short book that I am offering here. Given that thought, along with the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I thought it fitting to write it. I believe that this small book will be a blessing to anyone who would read it and take it seriously. To list a few: 1) The person who would identify as being Christian, yet is unsure of their eternal security. 2) The person who is not a Christian who is curious as to what true Christianity is actually about. 3) The honest and objective skeptic. 4) The new believer seeking to learn more about his/her faith and become more grounded in it. 5) The seasoned saint seeking a comforting and assuring read about his/her blessed assurance. 6) Any believer looking for more tools that may be helpful in sharing their faith and reaching the lost. Outside of the Scriptures, this humble piece of writing may be the most important thing you will ever read. Prior to early 2015, it would have been for me. God Bless.
